The KranKing™ Ultracapacitors are part of the FaraDigm™ range of high-performance, environment-friendly ultracapacitors that are poised to bring about a paradigm-change in electrical energy storage and power-delivery for a variety of applications. The proprietary designs and manufacturing processes employed in the FaraDigm™ devices allows them to achieve very high specific power levels and extremely long cycle-life, with sufficient energy delivery capacity for several pulse power and power quality applications. The KranKing™ ultracapacitors are eminently suited for IC engine starting applications across the full spectrum of weather conditions. They can enable a substantial reduction in the battery-size, greatly enhance the life of the battery and starter motor, and ensure a very high-reliability engine-cranking system. Q. Are any special precautions required while connecting the KranKing™ devices? Do these modules contain any hazardous material?
 
For most applications, the KranKing™ ultracapacitors can be connected in parallel with a suitable battery, with certain basic guidelines for ensuring low-resistance cabling (less than 0.5 milli ohms), fast-charging of the KranKing™ Ultracapacitors (less than 30 secs), and over-voltage protection. Unlike some other designs, the KranKing™ Ultracapacitors can be completely discharged down to zero volts when not in use. The KranKing™ Ultracapacitors belong to the most environmentally-friendly class of ultra-capacitors, with carbon electrodes and aqueous electrolyte. They are considered non-hazardous for shipping and handling.
